The BIG
Little Science Centre Society is a registered Charity under the income tax
act. Tax receipts will be issued for donations to the BIG Little Science Centre.

charity: Information for donors.
The BIG
Little Science Centre’s plan for the future is to continue to offer low-cost
science opportunities that will excite and inspire students of all ages. The
BIG Little Science Centre offers enhanced programming and exhibits in
the areas of physics, chemistry, biology, and geology, while
maintaining its current ‘hands-on’ format as well as dynamic demonstrations of
specialized equipment. There is something to learn and enjoy for everyone
from children and teens to adults, including seniors.
With an
annual operating budget of just over $100,000 coming entirely from donations, grants,
and some sales the BIG Little Science Centre needs your support. Without your
support the BIG Little Science Centre would be forced to cut back operations or
close entirely.
The
Centre relies heavily on volunteers to operate, but
funds are needed to maintain and continue to operate the Centre. The BIG Little
Science Centre currently has only one employee.
Support the BIG Little Science Centre
We invite you to become a partner in the
BIG Little Science Centre by participating
with our Fundraising Program. Participation can include an
in-kind donation, a
cash donation, or a more in-depth option such as
sponsoring a
room, sponsoring the BIG Little Science Centre operations, or
sponsoring a display or show in your area of
choice. You are also welcome to donate your time as a
volunteer.

Cash
Donations:
The BIG Little Science Centre
accepts cash donations of any amount. Income tax receipts will be issued for
donations of $20.00 or more (receipts will be issued for
smaller amounts on request).
With your donation you get the following:

Room
Sponsorship Packages:
The BIG Little Science Centre
currently has four rooms available for room sponsorship. The room sponsorships
are three year terms at a rate of $5,000 per year.
With your room sponsorship you
will receive:

your logo and name represented on the room entrance
- space in the BIG Little Science Centre for a
display promoting your organization or business.

Recognition and Accountability
All funding partners to the BIG
Little Science Centre are recognized in our publications, including a
monthly newsletter, our website, our flyers, and any advertising or promotion we
conduct for special events. Donors will also get their name listed on our
‘donors wall’ at the Centre with a minimum $500 donation. For donations of
$1,000 or more the BIG Little Science Centre will also provide an annual
report to the donor outlining where their funding support was applied and what
was accomplished with it. All donors are welcome to visit the BIG Little
Science Centre at any time. We recommend visiting when a group is at the
Centre to be able to observe the BIG Little Science Centre
‘in action’.
