Special Places Bert Edwards Science and Technology School (BEST) ASTTBC Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of British Columbia | Examples of Previous Summer Camp Weeks at BIG Little Science Centre (Each year camps are differnt) Day 1: Fun with Fluids – Explore the amazing properties of fluids. Day 2: Riparian Zone Tour – Explore our local habitats in a day-long nature walk. Pan for gold. Day 3: Chemistry and Kitchen Chemistry – Have fun with color-changing, gas producing, sound-emitting chemical reactions. Day 4: McAbee Fossil Tour – Discover the natural history of BC while you find and collect real fossils. Day 5: Bugs and Fish – Collect and identify bugs and dissect a real salmon.
Day 1: Moving Along – Discover transportation and motion with paddleboats and hover crafts. Day 2: Riparian Zone Tour – Explore our local habitats in a day-long nature walk. Pan for gold.  Day 3: CSI Cookie Caper – Solve a case by collecting fingerprints, comparing ink samples and examining hair fibers. Day 4: McAbee Fossil Tour – Discover the natural history of BC while you find and collect real fossils. Day 5: Electricity – Learn how to make generators, batteries and circuits. |
